What you may do without asking
These books exist to be read, taught from and argued with. You may, without seeking permission:
- Quote short passages in reviews, articles, essays, teaching materials and scholarly work, provided the quotation is accurate and the source is cited.
- Cite our works in a bibliography or reading list.
- Print a copy of a page of this website for your own study.
- Link to any page of this website.
When quoting, please cite the work by title, volume, author, publisher and year, and give the ISBN where you have it.
What needs permission
Written permission is needed to:
- Reproduce a substantial extract, a chapter, a table or a diagram.
- Reproduce cover artwork other than at thumbnail size alongside a review or listing.
- Translate a work, or any substantial part of it, into another language.
- Produce an audio, braille or other accessible edition, except where the law already permits this for a reader with a disability.
- Reproduce any work in course packs, anthologies or institutional repositories.
- Use any part of a work to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine learning system.
Requesting permission
Write to us through our contact page, stating the work and edition, the exact passage or material, where it will appear, the expected audience or print run, and whether the use is commercial. We try to answer permission requests within 15 working days, and we do not charge for short scholarly or classroom extracts.
Rights and licensing
Enquiries about translation rights, territorial rights, serial rights and other licensing should be sent through the same route and marked for the attention of rights and permissions.
Infringement
If you believe material on this website infringes your copyright, write to us with enough detail to identify the work and the material complained of, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will investigate and, where a complaint is well founded, remove the material.
Trade marks
“Globalgood Publishing” and the Globalgood Publishing device are trade marks of Globalgood Publishing Corporation. They may be used to refer to us and our books, but not in a way that suggests endorsement or association without our written agreement.
