Privacy Policy
How reader and customer information is collected, used and protected.
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Globalgood Publishing Corporation (“we”, “us”) publishes educational and reference works on monetary law, history and economics. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or buy a book from us, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Globalgood Publishing Corporation is a publishing company. It is separate from Globalgood Corporation, the nonprofit educational organization, and this policy covers only the publishing company.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to sell you a book and deliver it.
- When you place an order: your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and telephone number. A telephone number is required because our print and delivery partner cannot dispatch an order without one.
- When you pay: your payment is processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you buy an eBook: your email address, so the file can be delivered to you.
- When you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us in your message.
- When you browse: standard server logs, and cookies needed to keep your shopping basket working.
Why we collect it
To take and fulfil your order, to deliver your books, to send you receipts and delivery updates, to answer your questions, to meet our tax and accounting obligations, and to protect the site against fraud and abuse. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our print and delivery partner. Printed books are produced to order and shipped directly to you. Your name, delivery address and telephone number are passed to them so they can print and deliver your order. They may not use that information for anything else.
- Our payment provider. They process your payment and carry out fraud checks. Their own privacy policy governs what they hold.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions in order to run this website and send your receipts.
- Public authorities, where the law requires it.
Where your information goes
We are based in the United States and our providers may process your information there or in other countries. Where information about readers in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area is transferred outside those territories, we rely on the safeguards our providers have put in place for such transfers.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is generally seven years from the end of the relevant financial year. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful in answering you and then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to certain processing, to ask us to restrict it, and to receive your information in a portable form.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us through our contact page. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
This website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work: keeping your basket contents between pages, remembering that you are signed in, and protecting checkout against fraud. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified on the website.
Contact
